Mentor Coach , 5 Questions I Should ASK Before I Create a Morning Ritual [RA-VI]

Time seems to go by so fast in the morning, and many people want to get it over with, so they can get on with their day.

Well, that’s not the best way of doing things. How you spend your mornings influences the rest of your day: How you will feel, what you will manage to achieve, and what type of vibe you will send out.

That’s why it’s crucial to form healthy morning rituals. Making a few changes when it comes to how you start your day can build a world of difference and help you improve all areas of your life: Your relationships, your finances, and even your physique.

So get yourself comfortable and start by answering these five questions:

  1. Why Is It Important to Have a Morning Ritual?
  2. What Is My Current Morning Ritual?
  3. How Does My Morning Ritual Make Me Feel?
  4. What’s Stopping Me from Forming Healthy Morning Rituals?
  5. What Can I Do to Get Started TODAY?

Which question stands out for you right NOW… TODAY?

5 Questions You Have to Ask Yourself before Creating Morning Rituals

1. Why Is It Important to Have a Morning Ritual?

Every morning, you are deciding how your day will unfold. You are setting yourself up for a good day or a bad day. And you might not even know it. Establishing healthy morning rituals will help you take charge of an essential part of the day and put you on the path to stringing together a good day after a good day.

We become what we repeatedly do. Over time, rituals will turn into habits. And habits are what will ultimately help you change your lifestyle for the better.

Some people define their day with a smile on their face and a hot cup of coffee. Others start their day by hitting the snooze button ten times before finally giving up and getting out of bed.

I don’t know how you feel about coffee, but I’m sure you’d instead be smiling in the morning, not fighting your alarm clock.

Morning rituals are the perfect way to achieve this. Better yet, throw in a few good habits, and you’ll be smiling from dawn to dusk.

2. What Is Your Current Morning Ritual?

You might struggle to find the answer to this question and thus assume you don’t have a morning ritual. By continually doing the same things over and over again, we create a routine. I’m pretty sure there are certain things you repeatedly do every single morning.

Now, having morning rituals is not terrible. Taking your time to make sure you at least look ready for the day can be a positive habit that will influence your mood throughout the day.

After all, it will set the tone for the rest of your day!

3. How Does Your Morning Ritual Make You Feel?

Before you start changing your life, there’s the question of what you want to change. Try to decide on something specific, something meaningful to you. The idea behind this is to keep you motivated to stick to your new rituals.

Now, some people feel like they can achieve their goals with an afternoon or evening ritual as well, but I would personally recommend you stick to a morning ritual.

Do you experience numbness? Are you stressed? Are you overwhelmed by all the things you know you have to do throughout the day? Are you are spending your mornings on auto-pilot or continually thinking about the rest of the day?

You are not actually in control. Mornings should be filled with excitement for a new day. The early hours of the day should make you feel energetic and motivated to succeed at whatever you have to do that day.

4. What’s Stopping You from Forming Healthy Morning Rituals?

Be honest with yourself, and you’ll be able to find the answer. Old habits and negative beliefs may hinder your ability to focus on the things that matter. Maybe you are partying way too hard and always waking up late, feeling exhausted and like you are wasting your life on frivolous interactions.

If your morning ritual is holding you back from going after your dreams, being passionate and energetic, you need to make a change. Every morning is a new beginning, and starting your day the right way will help with things that you might not even expect, like attracting the right partner and forming meaningful relationships.

5. What Can You Do to Get Started?

First, you need to realize you need to make a change. Step by step, you will be able to override old habits with new ones to help you live life with confidence, passion, and enthusiasm.

Start applying the morning rituals you want

I think it would be easier to explain my points if I use an example, so let’s say you want to have better control over your impulses. I didn’t randomly choose this example. Creating a healthy habit takes self-discipline.

Whatever your goal is, you will need it to stick to the plan.

It can be a bit embarrassing to talk about self-control problems. Let’s say you feel attracted to one of your coworkers and can’t help but be a bit flirty. He doesn’t feel the same way about you and feels uncomfortable.

A good morning ritual for you would be to take a few minutes to clear your mind and think about personal boundaries and how you make him feel. Look yourself in the mirror and clearly state that you will be professional. It’s completely normal to want intimacy, so you should look for someone who wants you as much as you want them instead.

Another problem that plagues more people now, thanks to the Internet, is buying things they don’t need. You could create a morning ritual where you decide on the amount of money you can spend that day.

Support your morning rituals with good habits throughout the whole day. When you’re about to buy junk food, take a moment and ask yourself if there aren’t better options. Chances are you can get something healthier with less money.

Track your progress

Tracking your progress is a crucial step that most people leave out. Be sure to always look at how your life has improved since you’ve adopted your new habits.

Change comes gradually, but you will see that things are getting better each day.

There are two big reasons why you should do this. The first one is to see where your morning rituals could use some improvement. Maybe that budget you decided to stick to is a bit too strict, for example. It would be best if you always looked for ways to tweak and fine-tune your morning ritual to get the best results.

The second reason is more straightforward: You do it to motivate yourself. By seeing your progress, you will be more motivated to push forward and reach your goal.

You’ll see how much you’ll change yourself and your environment. In just a bit of time, you’ll know that you’ll have much more self-control than before. This way, the habits you defined in the past will start defining your future.

Maybe the sun rises every morning to get a better look at you. While that is just a perhaps, one this is for sure — you have to get a better look at your mornings.

Now take a look at why; Do you know how good the morning sounds like an oxymoron? But the sooner you define your morning habits, the higher your day, week, month, and life will be.
